[FIXED] RC1: Duplicate buttons, IPTC, ...

Post by OL »

I got duplicate menu buttons. 2 buttons at the left of "File" and 2 "_=x" buttons at the right. Couldn't find a consistent way to reproduce but it happened twice in 10 minutes.

Properties > IPTC
The first line has "????" in "name" and "Value" is either empty or like "<hellopstamp>some code</hellostamp> and copying it to clipboard leads to a reproducible crash (the memory could not be read). I would upload a sample if needed.
In version 1.74 the first line of EXIF was empty (same in this version) but the IPTC was OK

options > browser > thumbnail details
Well I'm not seeing them below my thumbnails. That's curious because a few hours ago they were displayed on about 50% of them, but now, after several restarts, none are.

Hope that helped.

I can confirm this, I guess, removing of xnview.ini solved that problem.

Ok, this picture has a strange IPTC field. Now XnView show all fields found.

It doesn't solved it, I still have this problem also with new .ini file created with RC1 (.ini sent to Pierre).

This problem is not with xnview.ini

I think I've seen it again in RC2. Very hard to reproduce though.

Crash and empty first line has been fixed for me, okish.

OK, that "details not showing up anymore once thumbs have been cached" bug has been fixed.

--> you can move my topic to Solved. If someone knows how to reproduce the duplicate menus, he'll write up another topic.
