Site suggestion: 7-Zip archive downloads

Post by Gingerbread Guy »

Have you considered using 7-Zip to save bandwidth? The ZIP for the current version is 6,466,421 bytes in size. Compressed with 7-Zip, it's only 3,649,712 bytes.

So called "non-expert" users just use the image viewer included in Windows, so I don't see how it's an issue. It would be better to have the option there, the same way VLC offers both zip and 7-zip downloads. What have you got to lose? Oh well, your call.
