[Fixed]RC3: size/position options bugs

Old topic name was "Use different pos size for browser" no efect.

I can't get this option to work at all. And my opinion size/position options are buging hevily. And because of my laging talent to explain things, I need someone how don't have any verbal limitations to test this function. So please help me and XnView.

Edit: Seems that the size/position is't saved in mode wheres nothing is open (no pictures in view and no browser)
Tested with Window98 SE (I always forgot that damn 'se')

If I understand right, if "Use different pos size for browser" is unchecked the size and position should work like in 1.74, but it don't save the sixe/position values at all. This is hard to explain but heres instruction how to reproduce.


How to reproduce:

• - Uncheck "Use different pos size for browser"
  - Restart XnView
  - Close browser (if it's all ready close set the browser not to open in startup and restart)
  - Resize XnView
  - Restart XnView (size isn't changed)

Another one

• - Uncheck "Use different pos size for browser"
  - Uncheck "Launch browser at startup"
  - Restart XnView
  - Resize XnView
  - Restart XnView (size isn't changed)

another

• - Uncheck "Use different pos size for browser"
  - Uncheck "Launch browser at startup"
  - Restart XnView
  - Start browser
  - Size changes (Ignores "Use different pos size for browser")

and another

• - Check "Use different pos size for browser"
  - Uncheck "Launch browser at startup"
  - Restart XnView
  - Resize XnView
  - Restart XnView (size isn't changed)

There probably is even more of these

Sorry to pump this, but I am now sure that size/position is't saved in mode wheres nothing is open (no pictures in view and no browser). I also tested this in XP with same results.

I think that in mode wheres nothing is open the size/position options should be saved at least when 'Use different pos size for browser' is set to off. And probably in 'Use different pos size for browser' mode it should merge to browsers size/position. Any opinions?

Okay, now I can recreate this problem also (sometimes): Browser and viewer dimensions are remembered seperately and properly when in current session (tested by going back and forth on picture using enter several times), but after closing the program and restarting a single position might eventually be for each after hitting enter several times on an image again. So, it works good on a per session basis. Perhaps not so good after program restart.

After long consideration, yeah this bug is fixed in RC4
Theres another size/pos bug, but it haves nothing to do with this.
