You can set the transparent index in option/Write/Gif, or use Edit/Edit colormap to set the transparent color.Yakano wrote: How can I select transparent color of an image when saving it as file .gif,?
Pierre.
A good idea, though---

- I think this is a very good idea, because currently when applying the transparency from the palette, the colours close of the stated "transparent" remain, and this leads to get undesirable bunches of pixels / artifacts which make a so ugly image the most times……In example FFFFFF ± 10% will transform colors near to white in white and then white into transparent
- It should be great to have such a function, IMHO.

Such a function would be really useful. The function should be somthing like "Replace colour A +/-tolerance with colour B" .Clo wrote:Guest wrote- I think this is a very good idea, because currently when applying the transparency from the palette, the colours close of the stated "transparent" remain, and this leads to get undesirable bunches of pixels / artifacts which make a so ugly image the most times……In example FFFFFF ± 10% will transform colors near to white in white and then white into transparent

Setting transparency to colour "B" should remain a second and separate step, though (we have this, already).

A good idea, really ! I support that proposal. Many times, I'm bound to decrease the colours amount by hand to avoid such issues, then the final picture is much less nice
