0.93: print custom size still broken in linux mint / print order

I tried the bug fix of the long annoying problem of the print custom size with 9.3: unfortunately the bugfix is still not found at least under Linux mint 18.
The page size setting still is ignored, for example I set the size to A3, it will always print A4. It ist the same with "page setup" as in "Printer properties". The setting portrait/landscape is ok, it only concerns the page size.

In addition, a very dear wish of mine is to exert influence of the order of pictures for prints: often i want to print a collection of pictures on one sheet but I need to set a special order manually. The simplest way were to use the selection order with the mouse, for example if I "contrl mouseclick" the 3rd, 1st, 2nd picture from the folder view, it should print in this order on one sheet of paper.
