If I start XnView Fullscreen by double-clicking an image in a File Explorer, I can't switch directly to the Browser anymore (I now use 1.82 alpha 1/11/2005).
When the option "Launch Browser at startup" is checked, it would be better to switch directly to the Browser window when using the "Browser<>Fullscreen|Viewer<>Fullscreen" behaviour.

Where is the Browser when starting in Full Screen?

You can change it, I use LMB double click to switch between "Browser<>Fullscreen|Viewer<>Fullscreen" and MMB to switch between Viewer and Browser (it works also from FS to Browser). Anyway, Fullscreen at startup is not 'Browser FS', it's 'Viewer FS', so first Viewer is shown for a moment, then Browser. You can use also Enter to switch between Viewer and Browser.
Hi Dreamer. Thanks for your feedback...
(by the way, I use the same LMB and MMB settings)
Here is what I would like:
- Open an image in Fullscreen from a file explorer
- Single action to switch to Browser window (ie: open Browser window and close Viewer window)
(without having to manually close the Viewer window afterwards, nor having to check the option View>'Only one view opened')
As far as I know: this is not possible (although extremely appealing, no?
)
Using your description, I would prefer Fullscreen at startup to be 'Browser FS' (and it makes a lot of sense for someone who mainly use the Browser, and checked the 'Launch Browser at startup' option...).

Due to a wrong default setting (see topic Default of Option "Start View in Fullscreen") the fullscreen appears for most users when double-clicking on a file.
Currently, it's very hard to switch from fullscreen to browser or editing, so I strongly support Olivier's idea of finding a better way to
a.) easily exit the fullscreen and return from viewing back to MS Explorer (or other File manager)
b.) continue browsing and editing in XnView

Yes, 'Browser FS' or 'FS lite' at startup would be better, but Pierre didn't want to use it, I don't know why.
- switch to Browser with - Enter and MMB
- switch to Viewer with LMB double-click, F11 and F
Then I can use Enter (and MMB) to switch between Browser and Viewer and LMB double-click and F11 to go to FS and back from both non FS modes.
You can press [Esc] or RMB and Exit, or it's a misunderstanding?a.) easily exit the fullscreen and return from viewing back to MS Explorer (or other File manager)
With my settings I can:b.) continue browsing and editing in XnView
