Whenever I chose the Thumbnails+labels view option in the file browser, I can only get them to be displayed properly as soon as I set them, as in:

But not after I close and reopen XnView, as they end up returning to their previous "uncoloured" state - though the file type list shown in the first screenshot is still there, untouched. I mean, to be fair, there seems to be a minor issue with the list itself: the same screenshot displays all those uncoloured file types I'd innitially removed from the list umpteen times, but they do show up again after closing/reopening XnView as well (all those uncoloured file types under the dark green .crw filetype in the list, as I only need the half a dozen file types shown as coloured in the top)

But when I select other views, such as "Thumbnails+details", "List" or "Icons", the colours do show up again:

Oh, they do reappear in the same session if in "Settings-Thumbnails-Labels" I click on the Reset Color button.
BTW, I tried, if memory serves me well, to have the settings saved into both the .ini file and in Windows Registry, but with no success. I also tried to disable thumbnail caching but the result persists on being the same, I'm afraid.
I'd appreciate any help.
Thanks.
Edit:
PS: My XnView version is 0.99.6 64bits running on Windows 10 in a laptop with 16GB of RAM.
PPS: I rebuilt the thumbnail cache and renamed my .ini file, as per the sticker's instructions, but it's still the same story: colours disappear after a restart.
