XnView: MP 1.01 64bits (Aug 8 2022)
OS: Windows 7 Pro 64bit
Cannot properly render 16 bit TIFF files
Effect: Image displays like a negative with incorrect pallette
To reproduce:
1. Double-click a 16 bit b/w TIFF file (from Epson Scan 2)
Expected behaviour: In previous version 1.00.0 it displayed correctly (though I suspect reduced to 8 bit without notification to user).
In XnView Classic a warning is popped up "This picture will be converted to RGB with 8 bits per component" and then displays correctly.

Re: 1.01: Incorrectly displays 16 bit b/w TIFF
I think I replied by private message - but don't 100% understand the system as it says it is "Sent" but still seems to be in the Outbox. Please let me know if you didn't get it.
Re: 1.01: Incorrectly displays 16 bit b/w TIFF
PMs for some reason remain in the Outbox until the recipient reads them, so presumably Pierre hasn't read it yet.Aolei wrote: Sun Aug 21, 2022 11:50 pm I think I replied by private message - but don't 100% understand the system as it says it is "Sent" but still seems to be in the Outbox. As PMs do not support attachments, presumably you included a download link for the file you sent?
Re: 1.01: Incorrectly displays 16 bit b/w TIFF
Yes - I included a link. When I first started this thread I tried to attach an image but there was a message indicating some quote or other site problem prevented me from doing so.

Re: 1.01: Incorrectly displays 16 bit b/w TIFF
This problem is supposed to be fixed in XnView MP 1.02. Please check and confirm the bug fix here.
Pierre.
