hide cr2 files

Post by Nahuta »

Hi all,

I have a problem.
My camera saves jpg and additionally cr2 (raw)-Files.

I want
1. to delete both files when I only delete the jpg
2. to hide the cr2 files

I tried following:
TOOLS/SETTINGS -> Browser/file list
in "Companion files" I add another line:
- 1st row: jpg
- 2nd row: xmp;xmp;exf;cr2
I unchecked "show companion files"
I checked "companion files linked for delete action

So. aim 1 works, but aim 2 doesnt work.

I work with Linux Mint 20.3 and 1.3.1
I believe my settings worked in the past - don't know...

Can someone help me?

in this case you need to remove the line with {raw]

Hi!
Thank you for the reply.

What line exactly do you mean?
I now deleted every line with raw in the first row.
But the problem isn't solved. cr2 files are still shown.

so you have only

Code: Select all

* - {ext].xmp;xmp
&

Code: Select all

jpg - cr2
??
It works here, extension is in uppercase?

Hmmm, no, it doesn't work so far.

Re Uppercase:
My camera files are .CR2 and .JPG files - so uppercase.
But when I write this in the table of xnview then after pressing return it is turned in lowercase.

I tried a bit.
When I name the files in .cr2 and .jpg, the filter works, but in this moment I only can see the cr2 files - I would like to see the jpg files.
When I then restart the program it works fine: I can only see the jpg files.

Is there a way to also include endings with uppercase writing in she settings?

Hey, you're welcome! I thank you for the support! :D

Just for my understanding: I see in the report that the bug is solved in version 1.4. But the newest version I can see is 1.3.1. So you are still working on 1.4?
