minor cosmetic sugg. on thumbnail borders

Post by klaus2 »

imo thumbnails with borders defined, currently don't look very nice (somehow old-fashioned);
What about rounded corners; see the image how it could look like ..

Round corners look really nice. I also would like to have these.

I use shadows only for the thumbnails, and this was the first argument to choose XnView – all other programs has too cheesy thumbnail-appearances. XnView really looks nice! So in my opinion, let it be as it is, but make rounded corners as an option if many people like the new suggestion.

Yepp, I also use shadow display. For those who have border displayed it would be nice to have an option "Use rounded corners", though.

In principle rounded corners are nice, but need to be anti-aliased to look professional, otherwise they just make the edges look ragged (as in the above screen clip).

If implemented, rounded corners should be optional.

I wouldn't use them.
