Just trying this on the latest version (1.98.2), and this issue still exists, reproducible as above.

I would guess that as NConvert is being run programatically in this instance, then the return code is being put into an unsigned char? 254 == -2 in that case.

Using v1.97.6 on Windows XP (SP2) machine, with dual monitor setup.

Turning off the "Use fullscreen on second monitor for previewing" continues to use the second monitor for previewing until I exit XnView and restart the application.

To recreate (with a dual-monitor setup):
