I managed to solve the issue, that helped a lot:

ln -s /lib64/libbz2.so.1 lib/libbz2.so.1.0

what I wanted to note is : this command must be performed on the tgz app NOT the upacked appimage as it won't work.

alas this solution is quite outdated as XnView still not working on Fedora (F35)

XnView: symbol lookup error: /lib64/libk5crypto.so.3: undefined symbol: k5_utf8_to_utf16le, version krb5support_0_MIT
