It does not look like it is fixed in xnview-win 1.98.2 ... how about xnviewMP???

Annotation fail in batch rename..
When {Annotation} is used in name template, the 'new name' field is blank..
in xnview-win 1.98, I can use this to rename the file as that in 'descript.ion' , to guard against copying errors, where the author has lazily named them as 001, 002, etc.. (instead of 'ford civic', 'ford meastro', etc ...

yes, it 'works' BUT it turns 'pic.jpg' into 'pic.jpg.jpg, and pic.gif into pic.jpg.gif!! ...

investigating, when you 'double click to enter file name as template', it wrongly picks up the extension, and then adds the 'right' one..
