Hum same problem this morning.
in fact before to open the first image of the day I have to launch Xnview from the XFCE Menu then open a file, press F11 to toggle Full-Screen/Normal then close Xnview.
After that I can open files by double clicking them.

hum quite strange
I launched XNView from menu icon this morning, browsed some folders and pictures in full screen and not.
Now I can open pictures directly and it's not crashing anymore.
So it looks ok now

Debian 6 Segmentation fault when loading a file
Hi there,
I have a segfault when double clicking images to open them.
I also tried from shell and received this output
/usr/local/bin/XnViewMP-035/xnview.sh target.jpg
Gtk-Message: Failed to load module "canberra-gtk-module": /usr/lib/gtk-2.0/modules/libcanberra-gtk-module.so: wrong ELF class ...
