Sorry, forgot to mention that I use the last stable (1.98.8 ). Restarting with a new INI doesn't somehow, but then I uninstalled XnView, deleted all remaining stuff and reinstalled it. Now it seems to work . I don't know what went wrong there (and where)...

I am confused at the moment, but maybe I messed up my XnView preferences somehow.
