thanks to all again. I have to upgrade to windows 10 and funny enough i have the same problem. Only this time i google the problem and come back to my original thread to find the solution.this time i fix it straight away. many thanks guys

[Start]

SaveAdvDlg=1

ShowSaveDlg=130

and now i got NO warning window "to overwrite" at all,
but the changes made will not be save and the file shows its original states,

this is so frustrating, i try all possible combination of the flags
ShowSaveDlg= 0 / 130 ...

thanks pierre,

You mean add SaveAdvDlg=1, yes i did try with no luck. i got a warning window to overwrite ,like usual but this time with the option dont show this message again.

I will like to avoid the window "the file XXXXXX already exist, do you want to overwrite "

this happens when i modify a file even if in the first warning window, i click where it says never ask again.

I read here that modifying in the xnview.ini the entry

ShowSaveDlg to 130 it will not show ...

Never the less i found the solution. Basically the fastest way to open a file in photoshop is using the commands buttons ...

1.- right click and select open with photoshop
2.- click Alt + 1
