If I leave XnView Options>>Browser>>Items Displayed>>Video Files to default, I can triple click on any video file including WMV files and they will immediately open in my associated program (Windows Media Player ...

Hi Pierre,

Yes only with WMV files.

Can you duplicate the problem doing what I have described?

The only program option I have changed is Options>>Browser>>Items Displayed>>Video Files and I UNchecked the Show in Preview box.

Are there any other options I need to change?

Hi ckit,

It can't be that because Windows Media Player opens WMV files just fine from Windows Explorer.

And, like I wrote in my first message, XnView can open WMV files in Windows Media Player just fine when I check the Show in Preview box.

What I'm still trying to do is get XnView to let me ...

XnView crashes when I click WMVvideo files- but not always

What I'm trying to do:

I'd like to be able to double click on a video thumbnail in the XnView Browser and have it play in my associated program (Windows Media Player) and bypass the XnView Preview player.

To do this I went to Options>>Browser>>Items Displayed>>Video Files and I UNchecked the Show ...
