I am happy to provide the test files. The zip file contains 5 images and a video where I show how the program behaves on my computer. I also just uninstalled Windows to see if that helps, but it didn't.

I have a folder with five photos named: 1.jpg, 2.jpg, 3.jpg, 4.jpg and 5.jpg.
I set SORT BY: date.
Files show in the folder as: 1.jpg, 5.jpg, 3.jpg, 2.jpg and 4.jpg.
If I open image 3.jpg in XnV and press ...
