Hi,
I did not know this trick. I configured the output format "same as source", but indeed it does not output the quality level the same as source, but as it is configured in default settings of JPEG. Now I understand it.
Thank you
Mikel

Filesize decreases abnormally
Hi,
I have noticed a strange behavior of XNConvert:
I perform the following actions:
Rotate +180 degree
Rotate -180 degree.
It is supposed that the result image be the same as original. But I see that the size of the result photo is decreased. In my example from 1,537,133 bytes into 339,688 ...

Re: When decreasing image size, the disk space is not freed
Hi Pierre,
Actually it has nothing related to reboot. I test it with a flash drive, I disconnect after cropping and reconnect again and the free space is not increased. Even after the reboot the space is not increased, as the reboot does nothing to the flash drive.
Thank you
Mikel.

When decreasing image size, the disk space is not freed up
Hi,
I have a strange situation. I crop some images and I see that the size of the images are reduced significantly (~5-7 times). But the free size of the disk is decreased, in a time that I am expecting this size to be increased.
So I did this:
1. The free size of the disk before cropping was 8,784 ...

Re: XnConvert shows the image automatically rotated
Hi Pierre,
Ok, thank you very much on this. I would be good to have also such a setting here.
BTW, even on XNView, I have not realized how to "ignore" the EXIF orientation flag. Is it possible that you advice me how to do it on XNView?
Thank you
Mikel

Re: XnConvert shows the image automatically rotated
Hi Pierre,
I checked all the settings in xnconvert, but I do not see any settings that allow to bypass or ignore the "rotate" flag.
Please help me, where is this setting in xnconvert?
Thank you.
Mikel.

Re: XNConvert shows the image automatically rotated
Hi Pierre,
Thank you for this information.
Please advice how I can remove this EXIF information flag, so that the program shows the picture not rotated, independently of the EXIF flag.
Thank you
Mikel

XnConvert shows the image automatically rotated
Hi,
I have a lot of pictures organized in several folders.
When I load them in XNConvert, some of them the program shows as they are, as shown in windows explorer, some of them it shows as rotated by +90 degree.

This causes errors when I apply some actions, like cropping, because ...
