Re: A new monitor...???

I have a 24" 1920x1200 Dell IPS monitor with a matte surface that I think is wonderful.

Some thoughts:

16:9 ratio monitors are designed primarily for HD video and IMO do not have enough vertical resolution (1920x1080, for instance). A 16:10 monitor typically offers more useful real estate ...

A new monitor...???

Hello

I actually have a Viewsonic P225FB CRT 4:3 monitor that I wish to change.
I have an eye on the Dell U2311H 23" 16:9 IPS panel monitor.
Price on it looks nice for my budget.
My main usage is amateur photography and post-processing.
Is it a good choice or something else should be considered ...

Bjr Luke123

try this, svp:
Make a copy of your file.
Open the copy in XnView.
In View mode, go to Image » Set DPI... .
Enter the same value for X and Y (p.ex. 72/72 or 96/96) and hit OK .
Save the file. See also: modifier DPI de fichiers JPEG

Re: BMP !

—> Luke123

:) Hello ! Bonsoir,

• Your sample is not a JPG, it's a BMP 1.5 MiB…
- Renamed as .BMP, it works in M$ Paint ! And it's displayed nicely.

Dear XnView
New observation...

If I load this image or some others that don't show right on aspect ratio, and I click on "Image/Resize", the feature "keep ratio" is unchecked.
If I check it, the image becomes normal.

If I load an image that looks right and go in "Image/resize", the "Keep ratio" is ...

(Problem solved) Distorted aspect ratio on JPG

Hello

I had XnView 1.80.3 and everything was perfect.
So I recently updated to XnView 1.90.6 and I have now a distorted aspect ratio on some .JPG pictures.
Not all...but some.
I don't understand this as all pictures come from my camera as the source.
I don't have this problem with any other graphic ...

Problem opening .CDR files...

I have a huge amount of .CDR pictures I created long long time ago using Corel Draw 3.0. With XNView, I am trying to open them and all I get is thumbnail like format pictures, with no details. Some graphic files, for instance, have text and when opened in XNView, all I see is a small rectangular ...
