Thanks for the lead but when I do this I still need to select one image after another. But I may be missing something evident there.

I've just installed XNview MP on my Ubuntu... please it's now running swiftly on Linux
but I can't find how to modify the EXIF date (mostly the date/hour) for all selected images in a folder.
