Re: XnViewMP on Fedora 22

Here a short description how to repackage the rpm (tested on Fedora 23):

dnf install rpmrebuild
rpmrebuild -ep XnViewMP-linux.x86_64.rpm

Your configured editor (probably vi) will pop up with an already loaded file.

Search for the lines containing / and /usr/bin (lines like %dir %attr(0755 ...

Re: XnViewMP on Fedora 22

That happens because the XnView rpm package contains base directories also contained in the system package "filesystem":

[chris@ln1 sw]$ rpm -qilp XnViewMP-linux.x86_64.rpm

Name : xnview
Version : 0.76
Release : 2
Architecture: x86_64
Install Date: (not installed)
Group : Converted/graphics

Re: Interface font size in 0.76.1 x64 under Ubuntu 14.04

.... replacing the executable XnView with the XnView-archx64 and starting it via the shellscript and not directly it's starting without crash now! That one was my fault...

Thank you, Pierre!

Re: Interface font size in 0.76.1 x64 under Ubuntu 14.04

I tried that arch version now (althought I'm on Fedora).
No change regarding the crash.

I opened a new thread now (to not highjacking this one again  ):

XnView MP 0.76.1 on Fedora 23 doesn't start

XnView MP 0.76.1 on Fedora 23 crashes on startup with this message:

Re: Interface font size in 0.76.1 x64 under Ubuntu 14.04

I don't know about a "modified" XnView exe.

So I assume it's the original one (downloaded as XnViewMP-linux-x64.tgz)

Anyway:
If it's working fine on your Fedora 21 there should be no general problem with this combination.
Fedora 21 is reaching its end-of-life soon.
So it might be better not to ...

Re: Interface font size in 0.76.1 x64 under Ubuntu 14.04

Thanks for the hints.
But the linked discussion didn't help. With its infos I was able to change some parts of the "style" but not the font.
And such a font (Courier New?) isn't configured in any of my GTK or KDE settings.

In the meantime I found out that every time 0.76.1 is started there are ...

Re: Interface font size in 0.76.1 x64 under Ubuntu 14.04

I'm using XnViewMP on Fedora Linux (Fedora 21, x64) here (with XnViewMP standard settings).

And I have a font issue perhaps related to the above message:

In 0.72 it looks nice, but in 0.76.1 the interface font is really ugly.
0.72 with font o.k.
0.72 with font o.k.
