Re: crashes while reading big directories
maybe, but not an video file. In that directory are just cbr`s and cbz`s and if I`m catalogue them with "whereisit" they were read without problems. Maybe the crash report gives an explanation!?

Re: possible to save thumpnails of an folder?
I have reinstalled the standart 64bit version and XnView MP still re-reads any folder after re-opening it. Although as I`ve memtioned the thum.db doesn`t get deleted after closing the program.
Is there a way to open the thumps.db and display the thumps even with the drive detached? So I could use ...

Re: crashes while reading big directories
yes I use the 64bit version (besides my system is: Win8.1/64bit, systemHD is SSD, 8GB RAM)
I`ve tried with another big folder which loads without problems, so it maybe hasn`t to do with XnView MP.

crashes while reading big directories
As I`ve tried to read big directories (~5000 files) while being in Thumpnail mode (where I choose very large thumps ~400x600), XnViewMP crashes every time after reading ~15% of the files. The crash report I`ve uploaded but maybe someone here can help too.
