Same issue, it seems that there is no v1.29?
I've even tried to download it from nine other sites that promotes v1.29 but it is always v1.26 once opened.

Yes, I've to agree, it's a pity that it is no longer available. Most graphic editing programs include this option as soon as I select Save as, IrfanView, FastStone Capture, PhotoShop, RealWorld Paint, PhoXo, PhotoFiltre, PixBuilder Studio, InPaint, etc. Only MS Paint matches XnView MP.

I've switched over to XnView MP (very neat!) but now lost between all the settings.
In the past with Classic I had an option to change the compression ratio when I select Save as after some editing but no longer?
All newly edited/saved graphics now much larger.
