Re: 1.6.1 Video crashes in Wayland, but not X11
I did, see my last comment. I initially installed 1.6.1 from Flathub but I get the same problem with the 1.6.2 .deb (but again only with Wayland, not X11). Would you like the core dump from that version?

Tried the .deb version from the website (1.6.2) instead, same problem. Is this related to https://forum.xnview.com/viewtopic.php?f=82&t=44463&sid=15384571ab6dc53ebd04b1e52a7a22c3 ?

Re: 1.4.4 Performance issues deleting files
Yes this only occurs when using recycle bin. Still, I do not expect deleting files to hang the program or take longer than moving or copy/pasting them.

Find similar files: suggestions to make it easier to use
The "find similar files" function works very well. In fact, I think the picture content search function works better even than the dedicated DupeGuru duplicate picture finding tool. However, the interface in XnView is limited and takes a lot of clicks for multiple files, so I still use DupeGuru ...

1.4.4 Crash on reading certain videos (Ubuntu)
Video playback works fine for about 90% of my video files. However, I have some MP4 files that consistently crash the program when I try to play them with XnView. It doesn't seem to matter if I try the full screen player or the tab player. All of these files play fine in VLC.

Re: Linux: Ubuntu 16.10 yakketi Yak and XnViewMP
Same issue on Xubuntu 16.10. Installs fine but program doesn't run. Will XnViewMP be fixed to support 16.10?
Edit: Adding the gstreamer0.10 packages worked for now (thanks krakatoa_pb). However, I don't see any videos thumbnails and videos don't play despite "Visible", "Show as thumbnail" and "Show ...
