Hello,

another DB / catgory related question.
It looks like the categories are not working on the new server so i did something wrong.

can you confirm that:

- the Categories and its associtations are only found into the XML file ?
- the huge (3GB) file called "XnView.db" only contains the ...

let me try, in few days i'll be able to see if i have new unwanted categories.

Another question - i reported this long time ago but it seems it's still not solved.
I created my own categories to filter my images.
XNview keeps adding new categories - probably all the categories it finds in any image i browse - and i just do not want them ...

i creatd a large category database for my images.
It contains categories for thousand images located on my server's mapped drive, called "Z"
I have a mirror of the server and the drive is called "Y".
I need to make a copy of the database based on Y instead of Z, without rebuilding all ...

i set some categories in my collection of people, then i changed all PSD images to PNG or TIF format.
Anyway, When i call the Category, these images are still shown as PSD and XNview becomes extremely slow so that it's impossible to browse results.
Probably Database cannot see the change of ...
