Is there a way to make the background on SVGs white rather than transparent (grid) when putting them into a contact sheet?

Could someone please tell me if it is possible to see Illustrator thumbnails and previews in XNView MP?
I have version 0.89 and am running on a Mac.
Any help would be very much appreciated.
