The menu items are grayed out unless one or more thumbnails are selected, and it is not obvious what would cause them to become enabled. Sometimes the easiest things are also easiest to overlook.

New user of XnView, and so far I am quite impressed... except for the Ratings system. How does it work? I can't find any explicit instructions. I found something that alludes to using (e.g.) Ctrl-5, but that method seems to require that the NumPad is used. I am using a notebook computer without a ...
