do I have to install the Codec K-Lite also for XnViewMP?

And my question before: is it possible to install only the appropriate codec or must I install the full codec package?

PS: there is a problem! The file is 22MB large and thus too big.

I have installed the K-Lite Codec pack "Standard". However the thumbnails are still show as before. See my attachment.

Do I have to install the "full" version of this codec pack?

I just installed the latest version 2.49.1 of XnView classic for Windows to view a folder, which holds pictures (jpg), movies created by my JVC camera (.tod) and movies created by my Smartphone Galaxy S7 (.mp4).

When I start the program, the .jpg and the .tod files are shown as thumbnails, however ...
