...can you add "system user" or "login user" or "computer suer" from the OS as a variable to this list?

The problem:

In a workflow there is the creator (the photographer himself) and someone from the team who edits the image and/or the metadata. This could be Mr A, Mrs B or Ernie or Bert... Everything works fine, but one day you need to know more about the image for some reason, and the creator ...

nice idea. I think there are 3x options in XnViewMP to setup metadata.

Check Settings /...

• ...Browser / Tooltip

• ...Thumbnail / Labels

• ...View / Info

Is it this what you need...?

Best:
if XMP (in batch conversion) ist empty and IPTC holds metadata => sync IPT-IIM to XMP
if XMP has new metadata (in batch conversion) and IPTC-IIM empty in org. file => sync XMP to IPT-IIM

Yes, it would be OK (for me) to have one action for each:

• IIM-IPTC-action

• XMP-action

...as long as IIM-IPTC und XMP are two parts in the software...

...is similar to 'Edit IPTC' so XMP fileds (from Edit XMP) are not all there...


Yep, so that is exactly the problem:
"XMP-FWC" is only in XMP and isn't in "IPTC"

The "pro" would be:
to mark and add an asset (import into database) without interfiring the org. IPTC/XMP...

Any change for that ...

I agree. My option:
- delete batch logs older than "x" (date/time)

Handle keywords/subject isnt easy...
Our experience with a software developer and the implentation of metadata showed us the pain...

Cant give you a solution, only some things to check in your workflow ...

...I want to delete from the metadata only the information about the camera, the lenses used and the settings used. I would like in the final jpg only the copyright information as well as the original date/time/taken to remain in the metadata...

The iptc.ini works fine - as requested.

The xmp.ini doesnt work / see details:

The asterix is set at keyword (subject)
Took image sample from https://iptc.org/standards/photo-metadata/iptc-standard/
The file contains already keywords - shown in ...
