Unfortunately the bug is only partially fixed. While "." in a filename works not for hiding the xmp-files. it does not work it the filename contains either ". " or " ." (dot blank or blank dot), which is the case for me here.

I unfortunately missed this name configuration in my guide to reproduce ...

This bug is fixed in v0.99.7.

Newly imported images are orientated correctly v1.0-beta.
For the existing database the thumbnails must be deleted throught the optimization functions. Afterwards the orientation of the thumbnails is correct. Without the wrong orienration remains.

See refered issue. It is the same function Ctrl+N should achieve as shortcut.

Ctrl+N or Strg+N is the shortcut key sequence, which should bring you to the directory an image is stored. I think it is still the default setting, but I'm not sure.
