Problem solved.
It turned out that the Zoombrowser program stores the additional data in a separate file (zbmeta.info) when you enter more than 64 characters in the Exif comment field

Exif User Comment cut off after 64 characters [Solved]
Up till now I used Canon Zoombrowser to view photos. In that program you can enter comments which are stored in the Exif User Comment field
In XNnview this comment is also shown however it is cut off after 64 characters, while in Zoombrowser the comment can be longer!
