@Pierre Thank you for your response. I changed the setting to "Never" and when I exited then reloaded my ticked tags were still there. Many thanks.

@Pierre. Apologies for the delay but have had problems adding an image. Hope it's there this time. By checkboxes I mean the ones overlaid on the thumbnail image in its top left hand corner. See image attached

As I have been unable to find any resolution to my question on the net or on the forum I have posted it. I have to deal with large folders of images and need to go through the folder examining each image and selecting particular ones for further action by placing a tick in the check box. Is there ...
