I want only to scan the external drive. How do I setup this before I install and do the first start of xnviewmp?

* No, there is no /run/media (opensuse leap). Now it's /media/ (debian)
* I do access /media in browser but right click > show files in subfolders ==> nothing. No image, no thumbnails

The problem is that the path, for the usb toaster hard drive under ...

what do you use as settings?

Settings > View > auto zoom: last used & reset auto zoom : empty

I don't see any setting in the browser section of the settings:

With the browser: set to 100%

Re: How to copy xmp data

Select a set of pictures where one of them has the right xmp data . (perhaps easier if it's the first one selected)
Metadata>Edit Xmp
use < and > keys , then you can see the xmp description of the first picture, ( even if the very last option "do not load field values" is enabled )

There may be simpler ...
In the XMP editor, you can save a template with the data from the first image and load this template on the other images.

Yes. I have setup my basic template, but it doesn't include the description and the other info specific to that serie.

How to copy xmp data

XnViewMP on opensusue Leap 15.5

I have 32 images of the same subject. I have entered some XMP descriptions with the first image and I'd like to apply the same XMPs to the other images of the serie.
