Half of the image is Grey correct? That is what I want to see and this is what I see in Gwenview. However these do not open at all in XnView. Not as a thumbnail or the actual image.

Sorry , these are .jpg images that are only partially showing. I did a data recovery and I'm sorting through the recovered files. Most of them are displaying correctly however the "damaged" ones don't display in Xn View. They do display correctly in gwenview.
