Nothing.
Also, none of the categories I had. It reverted to the categories, that are default. (I had deleted almost all of the default categories, BTW)

Re: Overlay icons cosmetic update
I agree with the first suggestion. That would be very good.
I don't see any need to increase their size, however.

1.5.5 Catalog got completely wiped
XnViewMP 1.5.5 64-bit, on Xubuntu 18.04 64-bit
I started XnViewMP, not realising that I already had an XnView-window open ...and got some error about the catalogue, that I ignored, as I assumed that it was just that it couldn't open it, in the second instance, as has happened before.

Re: Is there GPU acceleration?
From what i understand you already have this implemented, but it loads only one image ahead, how about to allow people with lots of RAM to specify number of images they want to load ahead.
Reading ahead, isn't GPU acceleration, unless it is specifically done through the GPU.
It can just as well ...

Re: Search by categories in the search box
It filtering any file that contains the text (not allowing to filter by a specific text, as many other programs/sites allow, by using "" ...though " is allowed in category-names, which complicates things. Still, there are ways around such issues...), is a bit annoying, as well as the fact that it ...

In Settings > Browser > Quick search, you can enable categories search :D

As seen here:
Quick Search within categories
Also, it's Quick Filter .
Not Quick Search.
As it is clearly a filter, and by ...

Unable to remove audio format m4a from list of video formats
When going to "custom filter", and removing the audio formats, from the formats listed there (for some inexplicable reason) as video formats, m4a (the 'a', stands for audio), and putting it among the list of audio formats, m4a always comes back, in the lists of video formats. :bug:

Re: Browser after adding new image
Go to Settings->File list->File list, and uncheck the option "New files are added at the end of the list".
Then any new file, will be placed according to the chosen sorting, rather than at the bottom.

The type of highlighting that user0 shows, would be fine ...but that is clearly not what michel038 is talking about.

Re: Categories search : select the first one
I learnt that typing o i s is enough to get "oiseau" at the top of my list.
In your list of categories, that may be true, but...
Let's see, if you choose "Export Categories File", the resulting text file has one row per category (and an empty row, at the end), so if I open it in my text editor ...
