I uninstalled XNView Mp on both computers, deleted the XNView program file and the app data folder for XNView. Followed Pierre's link to 1.8.2 and reinstalled. I made all my shortcuts and other preferences again and copied that user/roaming folder to our second computer. Still have the same problem ...

if you want to memorize target folder - uncheck "For 'Save as', use original pathname" (Settings > General > File operations)

Same problem as chaosprevails. Using 1.8.0. Save a copy doesn't work. I made a shortcut for that command and the original folder that the file is in comes up. I'll navigate to the folder where I want the copy saved and save it. Next time I use the save a copy shortcut, the original folder pops up ...
