Re: Feature enhancement request
Evidently, this only happens on the OP's operating system.
On Windows with 1.9.3, where the filesystem is case insensitive but case preserving, the Pathname search is always case insensitive, even if the "case sensitive" box is checked.
The 'Case sensitive' checkbox seems to only affect the ...

Feature enhancement request
In the search dialog box, leaving the 'Case sensitive' box unchecked makes the filename search parameter case insensitive.
In the conditions section below, Pathname (and maybe other fields), is case sensitive, and there's no way to disable that. If I want to avoid searching in certain folders, I ...

Broken feature in 1.9.3
I posted this before, but it looks like it got removed.
Prior to 1.9.3, the Folder field got saved with search presets (just like every other field on the dialog box). This was my preferred behavior, but apparently some people prefer the opposite and put in a request to remove that. (If you didn't ...

Re: Thank you to Pierre
I absolutely agree. This is an excellent application, with more functionality than I could ever use and Pierre's attention to detail and responsiveness is unheard of these days. Thank you for everything you're doing.

Thanks. That's really unfortunate that this was removed. It's going to make some of my searching take a lot more effort. . I decided to revert to 1.9.2 because of this.

1.9.3 - Search presests no longer remember the path saved with it
I tried re-saving a Preset, but it still didn't remember the paths I saved with them.
Also, the Conditions in the search dialog are all case-sensitive, so if I'm trying to avoid searching in folders 'Keep', I also have to list it as 'keep' in case capitalization wasn't consistent.
Thanks

Re: Is there any way to sort sub folders?
Apparently it doesn't happen on a top-level folder. It needs to be at least one level deep. Yes, this is all in the Folder panel.
Steps to reproduce
Create the test folders (as in the first screenshot). (These don't have to be created through the tool)
Close and reopen XnView

Re: Is there any way to sort sub folders?
It happens when moving one folder into another folder (which contains subfolders), which hasn't already been expanded. I don't think it matters how deeply nested it is, that was just my test.
Yes, when XnView is restarted, the folders are sorted properly.

Re: Is there any way to sort sub folders?
Hello,
This is still happening and I finally figured out how to duplicate it.
Take a folder and drag-n-drop it into another folder which has subfolders. Do not expand the destination folder first. Expand it after dropping in the other folder. Now when you expand that folder, the subfolders are out ...

Hello,
When you installed the program, you likely dragged it into the Applications folder, so you can go there to launch it. That should be on your Dock (likely on the bottom of your Mac screen).

Re: Force thumbnail building on directories with thousands of files
I'm having the same problem with thumbnail generation.
Looks like the only way to import the folder with hundreds of subfolders is to click "Show all files".
But it doesn't work for hundreds of thousands of images, as XnView uses ALL memory and crashes.
:O
Do you have any idea how to generate ...
