Now the problem is more limited: the quick search stop the loading, but removing the searched text restart the search.
At least, the user must not change of folder to get the full result.

Re: 0.51: strange quick search results
After some more tests, it seems that the problem occurs when the user is going too fast: if a text is entered in the quick search while the images metadata are still loading, the loading is stopped and the search only goes on the already loaded metadata. Must change of folder for forcing a reload of ...

Advanced Upload on Web
Hi,
At least for Flickr, the Upload on web function is very limited.
For being able to use it, I would need the possibility to indicate in which Flickr set the photo should be put, and also the visibility of the photo on Flickr.
It is surely a low priority for MP on whole, and other web sites ...

0.51: strange quick search results
Hi,
I wanted to filter photos by the searching of a tag. The first time I wrote the tag in the quick search field of the browser, all correctly tagged photos were displayed.
The second time, on another folder, I saw only the photos having only the search tag (no additional tags).

Re: MP 0.38 Win: Very slow image display in fullscreen
I put two samples on megaupload:
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=CVM924LW
Do a copy of both photos and place them in another directory. Going to one directory to the other, and then displaying the photos in fullscreen always triggers the problem on my PC.

Re: MP 0.38 Win: Very slow image display in fullscreen
Yes, photos from the same camera with the same JPEG settings.
I found a good setting for still having the speed advantage of the low resolution without the pixelized problem:
prevSize=@Size(1600 1050)
1600x1050 being the resolution of the monitor on which I have the fullscreen view.

Re: MP 0.38 Win: Very slow image display in fullscreen
Without low resolution, it works nicely.
But for me, a bug is still hidden somewhere, as even with low resolution, it works fine before changing of folder. But for now, I will work without low resolution.

Re: MP 0.38 Win: Very slow image display in fullscreen
I didn't tested a lot on the netbook, but I have one time used the same photos.
I have retested on the netbook with photos of similar sizes, and I don't see low resolution images.
I have one time copied the settings from one PC to the other, and I don't have changed the cache settings since.

Re: MP 0.38 Win: Very slow image display in fullscreen
I don't think that seeing the low resolution first is problematic. When it works at normal speed, it can just be noted. But it become problematic when it took more than one second to go in full resolution.
Again, when opening MP and NOT changing of folder, the loading and display of photo works ...

Re: MP 0.38 Win: Very slow image display in fullscreen
I had only had "read ahead" enabled on 1.98, but even with both enabled or disabled, I don't see any change.
I think that 1.98 is a bit slower than MP on my main PC, for displaying the next image, but it is directly in good quality. MP, with the problem, is fast to display the bad quality version ...

Re: MP 0.38 Win: Very slow image display in fullscreen
I have only JPEG photos, in 4928x3264 pixels size.
I have the problem at the first key press.
Again, I don't have any problem with the old XnView with the same photos.

Re: MP 0.38 Win: Very slow image display in fullscreen
What is 'cache behind' ? I have activated 'Read one image ahead' and 'Keep current image' options.
For reproducing, I changed it to:
Start XnViewMP, go to another folder , click on a file, F11, quickly press Nextfile
wait 10 sec, press Next file, and it's slow? (low resolution and high resolution ...

Re: MP 0.38 Win: Very slow image display in fullscreen
I don't see any improvement with the version 0.38.10.
In fact, today I get the typical problem:
-opening MP
-directly changing from folder
-the problem is only visible as high change speed, with a moderate pace, it isn't visible
-go to another folder, the problem is always visible
-come back to the ...

Re: MP 0.38 Win: Very slow image display in fullscreen
I tested with 0.35 and 0.38. In fact, the behavior is quite strange. It's like the next image isn't always put in cache.
1- case 1, seen on both versions
If I change of photo quite fast, the problem is often visible (which is normal if the cache is going empty), but even at a slower path (a bit ...
