You got a point there, Pierre. Then the question would be: Why do some people have this problem while others don't? I don't think its because of the system background (XP or XP Pro on several machines, even freshly installed ones). I will try the english setup the next days. Or might it be dependent ...

Hi again!

I recently tried the new version 1.92 and unfortunatly still encounter the same problem with movie-viewing and mode-switching on each xp-machine tested so far :(
Is there a chance to fix that problem in upcoming versions?
Wouldn't it be nice to add the option to switch between fullscreen ...

Hey Ramone :D

You put it absolutely right! If I follow your instructions, the problem is gone :P
Because I am used to switch directly between browsing mode and fullscreen mode I never tried it this way. So it doesen´t seem to be a codec-associated bug. Meanwhile I did a complete fresh ...

Thanks for your efforts. If the crash would occur on one machine only, i would think it should be depenend on the specific computer and its background. But so far it happened on every computer tested by me. When I have more time, I will try an basic backup image of my pc with no codecs installed, to ...

I already read some of your comments on codec packs. Since several years I try to minimize the amount of codecs, I just use k-lite basic and so far there was no problem with that. Even if I start a not-installed minimal version of XnView v1.82.4 (the same i used before switching to v1.91.6) in ...

Hi!
The problem occured with both XP professional SP2 and XP home SP2. I just found one quite small .mpg file (4.980 KB) and put it in one folder together with one image file to start browsing in full-screen mode with. When reaching this .mpg either XnView crashes directly or later. If the program ...

crash on movie viewing

Hi friends!

recently I installed version 1.91.6 (Libformat Version 4.83) on two different desktop machines. After a short time I got used to many of the new features as compared to v1.82.4 and started loving them. But I'm facing one big problem, which didn't occur in v1.82.4: XnView crashes ...
