Please change batch rename to recurse dirs

The title says it ;) Rest of Batch rename is perfect imho. Recursing would made sense for me...

//Edit: In more detail:

- Recursive renaming of files and dirs (selectable)
- Maybe option to inherit parts of dir names
- Security Dialog when recurse option is used

What do you think?

XNVIew 1.91.1 Looses Thumbnails after renaming folder

When I rename a folder using folder view, XNView everytime recreates the thumbnails. This is especially disturbing for files which take a long time to scan, big EXR's for example. Otherwise I wouldnt have noticed it.

I havent looked deeper at the issue, examinung cache or so.

Ok, it works now for me. I was aware of the 2 options. I assumed the Option under "Fullscreen" would be responsible for the Fullscreen Raw preview and the Browser>Preview>Camera RAW for all other cases. Im amazed a bit about the naming now :)

That should be built in.

//edit:

A "System Gamma" input field would be good for this, as found in some compositing packages. (As an addition, maybe replacement, to the already existing "Gamma Correction")

:arrow: Pic_Viewer, yes, this also affects the regular downscale preview.

And as a ...

OK I could actually see another use.

Let the Autoamtic USB handler copy different fileformats to different subfolders. For example, copy to "2008_02_01\jpg\" and "2008_02_01\cr2\". Just a timesaver. Would need to be turned of by default.

I see this is a bit different, but still fits in the scope ...

Hi JohnFredC,

I dont like the idea of separeate areas for dirs and files *in this context*. I want "to display directories in detail view (at the top) and at the same time images as thumbnails (below)" . My reason to have them in the same view is because I want to do folder + file navigation in the ...

Yes, Pic_Viewer, youre right, I didnt made it exactly clear.

Im talking abou the pic preview area. And you are also right that PageUp has to be used for jumping page-wise. However: Hold down PageUp Key in a big folder. The Cursor will NOT land at parent (where it should land) but at top of the Row ...

Hello Clo,
yes maybe my suggested box is not very clear to everyone. Also, what you say about different needs makes sense to me, I wasnt fully aware of that. So, I can only agree to your suggestion of the implementation.

All the best

Exactly as Dreamer said. Yes I played around with all the nice options. Currently I use thumbnail mode and thats working for me.

The idea behind my request, Id like just to focus just on the images. My folders are all named, looking at folder thumbnails takes longer for me to navigate. (I know I ...

Hi again Clo and pic_viewer,

my bad, explanation was too complicated:

I want the PageUp Key to do the exact same thing like the Home key.

Hello Clo and ouistiti!

Yes, adding this in the code is the real work. If its not to be added then of course I respect that, XNView is free after all. But aside from this, nice to see that you would like to get this added too.

I like the GUI, especially the short explanations! I had something ...
