I have solved my resize problem with the help of grid and info from status bar.

1.) Open an image
2.) Select an area. Resize the selection to the size you want to have as custom size
3.) Choose "Edit > Set selection size... > Save selection as custom

Question:

I know we can use a fixed selection size as provided.
But can we customise our selection size for our cropping?
eg 600x100 in pixel.
