Are you planning a utility to export XNView.db and Category.db from XNView and import it into the XNViewMP database?
I have thousands of pictures categorised and rated in XNView and do not wish to have to re-do all of this manually.

XN View appears to use two sqlite databases, one in C:\Documents and Settings\ username \Application Data\XnView called category.db which seems to hold all the category information, and what categories are assigned to which images, and the other in C:\Program Files\XnView\cache called XNView.db ...
