Re: 0.96.4: No program is launched using items from Open with menu while in editing mode

Removing libfreetype.* works, but as it was bundled with the DEB package, it might need to be removed from it and also the package should depend on system version of it instead (by adding it to deps section of the DEB file). Files bundled in installed version of package can be found by running dpkg ...

Re: 0.96 Kali x64 XFCE Segfault

Experiencing same crash running 0.96.1 on Ubuntu 20.04 (focal), upgraded from 18.04 (bionic), using latest x64 deb. Setting QT_QPA_PLATFORMTHEME back to gtk2 (editing /etc/X11/Xsession.d/56xubuntu-session) fixes the issue. Gdb crash log: juozas@xubuntu:/opt/XnView$ env LD_LIBRARY_PATH=/opt/XnView/li...

Re: 0.95.2 Fails to Load in Linux Mint 19.3, Cinnamon

If using deb and installing through apt, you have to add a parameter to force XnView to reinstalled (add --reinstall to apt-get command line), as long as your apt version support apt-get install ./filename.deb syntax (all newer versions does it fine), otherwise you can use dpkg to install it, though...

Re: 0.95.2 Fails to Load in Linux Mint 19.3, Cinnamon

installing qt5ct and setting variable QT_QPA_PLATFORMTHEME to qt5ct in /etc/X11/Xsession.d/56xubuntu-session and then rebooting fixed the problem for me (running xubuntu). Check my previous (updated) post for more information.

Re: 0.95.2 Fails to Load in Linux Mint 19.3, Cinnamon

I've just installed a ubuntu 18.04 with Qt 5.9.5, and no problem to start XnView from .deb or .tgz do you have qt5ct? On my Ubuntu 18.04 installation with latest updates it does not work either, as qt5ct is already installed. Edit: I had to modify /etc/X11/Xsession.d/56xubuntu-session and set the Q...

Re: 0.90 Linux: Crash moving files while in view mode

Not sure; It happens randomly but mostly in directories containing a lot of images. Btw can't test it now as the system architecture (arm 64 bit / Aarch64) i'm posting from is not supported by current version of xnviewmp, i'm running desktop linux installed using an android app, connected via vnc. A...

Re: 0.90 Linux: Crash moving files while in view mode

Xnview doesn't always crash moving files when using it. Some times does some other times it doesn't. At first moving to same directory works ok then some times after a while I see a crash. If i don't use xnview enough (moving files, etc.) it doesn't crash so frequently.

Re: 0.90 Linux: Crash moving files while in view mode

Noticed a version 0.92 crash while moving files to a subfolder on same directory. The path contains spaces and non/ascii (such as ą,č,ę,ė,į,š,ų,ū,ž) characters and each directory contains over 300 images not mentioning a bunch of subfolders inside target folder. Last line of dmesg command output cop...

Re: 0.91: Open xnviewmp.exe with image file as argument doesn't work

Confirmed on Ubuntu linux with General page setting Mode when starting from a file set to Full Screen - Viewer , window does not open, program closes before it can do anything, not even a crash to possibly debug. XnViewMP version 0.91 ==> 1,000000 216,799583 96,000000 (0) XNVIEW restoreGeometry befo...

It's working so far on 0.88; didn't crash yet. So the fix appears to be working.

Re: 0.87 Linux: Crash using move dialog while in view mode

Correct. As I remember, the browser was open, and the file was moved to last used folder. Didn't test w/o browser yet, might do later. Crash still reproduceable w/o browser, gdb dump here: [New LWP 2620] [New LWP 2623] [New LWP 2624] [Thread debugging using libthread_db enabled] Using host libthread...
