Home page still says 1.4.1, though linked deb is 1.4.2. Tested, no theming issues so far, theme appears ok upon load, tooltips readable.

Haven't noticed a problem in previous version, only recent version broke. Could reproduce on a clean user profile where the default Xubuntu theme is Greybird, display server is Xorg.
with 1.3.1 no problem?
1.3.1 works fine, after downgrading tested in a clean user profile with no xnview ...

After opening XnView there's a wrong background/color on some ui elements of program. E.g. unreadable tooltips, wrong background in places, etc ...

After some investingating I found that the TGZ and AppImage are also affected, not only DEB package has this problem. The first post has been updated.

Works good so far, no crash; btw had to check the home page manually to download the package as the updater would not see the new version, it would appear that the program was up to date when using it.

The image loads fine in firefox and it doesn't use 3 GB of memory when this image loads. Xnview should not use this much if possible too. Chrome & Chromium doesn't use much memory too (also while firefox is running in background).

Program log under debugger, also killed by OOM killer, only other programs open was the browser and terminal running gdb.
