Re: Drawing Lines & Arrows

Up front - XnView is really great!

Having said that..
this request is on the todo-list already for a while I am not sure it will be available within XnView very soon.
Can recommend SnagIt for this. It is a really a great, light weight, application and very user friendly.

Drawback: no freeware.

Re: Grabhand in toolbar

Thanks. I know it is not a big issue. Reason for asking this is that often applications start out in the grabhand mode (let's take Google Maps, ACDSee, etc) So you kind of get used to this and need to realise that XnView acts slightly different. One might consider to introduce either a separate grab...

Grabhand in toolbar

Vainly tried to find a solution as to get a grabhand button in the toolbar.
I want to selectively switch between grabhand and crop, without having to press the RMB all the time.

Maybe the solution is there, I don't know.
Looked under Tools/Options/Toolbar/Append.

Any suggestions ?

TIA

Re: Drawing Lines & Arrows

Hello Yes, it would be very nice to have an editor included that allows resizable colored, with/without outline, straight, freehand or bended arrows and similar text balloons (resizable, colored, etc) Also, (free) select a part of one image and copy/paste or drag to another image as a an object (so i...

Re: Keep timestamp when saving - non EXIF files

Ahum.., thank you! I feel really silly, did not check that. Still, maybe you wish to consider the keeping same date-time stamp when using "Save as". Same scenario as mentioned below: a) Open a file, select a part, crop, then save the file, (save as) with the same name. Then it should keep the origin...

Re: Keep timestamp when saving - non EXIF files

I mean: I open a file, select a part, crop, then save the file, (save as) with the same name.
Then it should keep the original filedate-time.

XnView asks me to replace, this I confirm, but then the date-time stamp changes.

Even when "Keep date/time for saving" is tagged.

Keep timestamp when saving - non EXIF files

When "Saving"-> "Overwriting" - under "Options" - there are few selections, like Keep EXIF data, or IPTC data. I'd like to suggest to add an option to keep original timestamp for non EXIF-files, such as screencaptures. Right now I need a filerenamer to redate the files. Hope this is technically poss...

Batch update/edit IPTC EXIF

Will XnView be able to batch update IPTC/EXIF fields some time in future ? TIA = p.s. found some other freeware that can do this, the FAQ of that software says: Q: How to change JPG IPTC/Comment data for many images (batch mode)? A: In the Thumbnails window, select many JPG images/files and use the ...

Re: XnView vs. ACDSee: Slow..? (Part 2)

[*]Manipulation of ALL metadata (EXIF, IPTC , XMP and user defined); [*] user defined mapping of database properties to/from metadata fields, and user control of update timing - immediate (slower, safer), batch (better control), background (faster, less control); [*]Ability to define the metadata f...

Preview playback .vob in VIDEO_TS folder

Am not sure if it is possible, vainly tried to a find a solution here. When i select an .avi-file, or .wmv file, XnView will nicely play them in the left bottom preview pannel. (Same as where jpg's are displayed) Question: If I were to select a VIDEO_TS folder with all .vob's .ifo's Is there a way t...

Re: Make certain windows resizable

I use Sizer to enable dialog resizing in all applications. Thanks. Actually I was not aware of such application. Looks quite useful indeed! However, I am running 64bit, the FAQ says that it will not work, regretfully. That aside, I really hope it will not be too difficult and it will be included in...

Make certain windows resizable

For instance, when I select a file, then RMB Copy, the following window has a fixed size.
When you have a many folders/subfolders, you need to scroll up and down a lot.

Wud it be possible to make that window panel resizable ?

Thank you.
