Allow custom toolbar to dock inside Browser preview

Please consider allowing custom toolbars to dock INSIDE the browser preview. Visibility of the controls (which only are useful only when the preview is visible) would be connected to the visibility of the preview pane. Hide preview pane, preview toolbar hides also. Show preview pane, preview toolbar...

Re: Help file

Please consider a local CHM. Perhaps it would cover only the basics (that rarely if ever change) with a redirection to the web pages for the "advanced stuff". There are still many usage cases (even in the second decade of the 21st century... "it's the fewchure!") where the internet is either inacces...

Re: multiple browsers

Hi obelisk This is one of the most long-lived requests on the forum. The utility of such a capability in XnView would be HUGE and unique to image tools, AFAIK. Perhaps there is some difficulty for multiple instancing related to the internal implementation of the XnView Classic browser, but some of u...

Re: 0.69 refresh function not working in treeview (win64)

In my experience, the MP tree-view sometimes will not refresh "on its own". Frequently I make and populate folders in other tools, but return to MP to manage the contents. MP sometimes does not show the new folders without a refresh, and sometimes in those circumstances the refresh action doesn't sh...

Re: 0.69 shortcut bugs and intermittent opening into other v

I have zoner photo studio 15, periodically instead of opening a file eg .jpg internally with it's viewer, sometimes the .jpg will open up in zoner. This happens to me too. It seems as if sometimes MP acts according to the Windows app-association rules and, instead of opening the double-clicked brow...

Re: Please add separate catagories tab to info group!!!

I'm so sorry Pierre, you are correct!!! Thank you for implementing this. Silly me, I hadn't thought to use the context menu. For a while there were two identical Category panes on my screen, but after some dragging stuff around I finally caused one of them to disappear and was able to get the layout...

Please add separate catagories tab to info group!!!

This behavior is still messed up in version 0.69 and quite aggravating. :( I use the following buttons to hide/show various panels: http://s21.postimg.org/633swy74n/Browser_Visibility_Toggle.png For my way of working, the circled button should simultaneously hide or show ALL metadata panels subordin...

Re: Sorting - help ?

Indeed, after sorting, a selected file does remain selected... ... but frequently it has scrolled out of the view and the user has to go looking for it again. When there are hundreds or thousands of images in the thumb panel, this user activity can take an unproductively long interval. Profanity can...

Yes, blink is very good, esp. with zoom.

Re: Show visual difference between original and encoded imag

It would be useful to see the original beside the difference, esp. for navigation. So please support (at least) the ability to display the difference image in the right panel. Also, some adjustment of the difference image would be nice. In a tool I use, it is often necessary to save the difference i...

Re: Show visual difference between original and encoded imag

Hi Pierre It's about better tools for tuning the compression. The user would set the difference as the primary display and then adjust the compression, balancing file size against the "extracted" artifacts shown in the difference image. In many cases it is much easier to inspect a single difference ...
