Full Screen - Strip on top to show pictures ahead
When you have a lot of similar pictures I found the full screen mode with the strip of image on the top very useful. It's very efficient when you need to evaluate, keep the good and exclude the bad. The strip is resizable so you can show a dozen or more aor very few thumbnails as you like.

Re: Rotation and EXIF Orientation field
Confirmed: The bug is still there in version 0.87.
In View mode, using the 2 buttons Rotate Left/Right rotates the picture but do not reset the EXIF orientation flag to "Upper Left (1)"
The same buttons in browser mode acts properly.
(sometime a refresh -F5 is needed to show the results)

Re: There are 2 options related to EXIF orientation
Perhaps if the user rotates an image with option b), then option a) could be enabled automatically, so the effect of the rotation will be visible.
That's exactly what I meant and now you see my point: If you enable one, the other option should be enabled as well. If you disable one the other ...

Draw Tool removes metadata (EXIF, IPTC)
I discovered the drawing tool recently and find it very useful. Unfortunately I discovered that it strips, clean, remove some (all?) metadata like EXIF and IPTC
Can you please consider a fix for this?
Thank's in advance

Re: Rotation and EXIF Orientation field
After having been fixed it seems the issue is back. Can you check and fix it again?
I don't take that much pictures in portrait so I had a doubt. Today I received some from a friend so I put some attention at the EXIF Orientation field and found it was left unchanged.

Re: Change timestamp doesn't (always) work
unticked: when the image metadata is written and the file modified date is automatically updated by the operating system, then the program actively overrides this by reinstating the previous value
This looks like a bug: Even if the 3 options "Keep original date for..." are unticked, using "Change ...

Re: [v0.81] Crash when selecting video files in browser
I just upgraded to XnView MP v0.84. I use a mix of pictures and video files, different formats.
I have a new PC tablet-convertible running Windows 10 /64 bits. No codec except Xvid:

It seems my last comment just stopped the discussion so we stayed where we are for more than 2 years :(

Re: Change timestamp doesn't (always) work
Hi Helmut,
Confirmed it works for some time now. Thank you!
@CamronD,

Re: File can't be loaded! error with panoramic JPG
@bcyrill,
The issue is not consistent, nor is the fix you provided, unfortunately. From 17 panoramas recently taken with a Samsung S7 (Edge), 5 of them are correct, no error and EXIF data visible.
For the other 12, trying your script doesn't work, it returns error :

Même chose. J'ai installé un Ubuntu 16.04LTS tout neuf. Téléchargé et installé la distrib, XnView Apparait dans la liste des applis et me dans les offre "Ouvrir avec une autre appli" quand on fait un click droit sur une photo.

I changed the parameter and yes it works. I checked different video formats and it's all ok.

Re: [v0.81] Crash when selecting video files in browser
I encounter MP crashing since version 0.80, related to video files it seems. I sent some crash reports.
Also, the sound is bad, corrupt, sometime looping the last sample at the end of a clip.
