Warn when overwriting saved layout
As the title says. If you save a layout, then make changes and save the current layout with those changes as the same layout you previously saved, it will overwrite your previously setup layout without warning.

0.84: Restoring layout reverts info pane tab

Re: 0.84: Memory leak when displaying GIF(s)
Just found out it also returns a little of the memory when closing the viewer tab, but most remains locked. This doesn't get freed even when selecting another folder in the browser or closing the browser. The only way to free it appears to be closing XnView.

Postponing would probably be fine, but what about just making it low priority? Or is that basically what postponing is here?

Re: ** English - English
I'm not even sure how you could have multiple views without multiple tabs, but how about instead of "tabs" or "views" saying "views/tabs?"

Re: 0.84: Network folders don't update in tree when changed
CameronD, The issue isn't with the files; as noted in step 4, the contents (i.e. files) are in fact updated. It's just changes to the directories themselves that aren't. So if you have a network share containing F1 (folder 1), F2, and F3 displayed in the folder tree, and you add F4 through Explorer,...

That was my thought, but was in a hurry earlier. Maybe a popup if they try to perform the actions when they're disabled?

If deactivated by default, I can pretty much guarantee people will think it's broken.

Re: 0.79: Line across top of GUI
I suspect the different location of the line has to do with the layouts we're using. As I said earlier, if you can attach your .ini file, it would allow me to try playing with it with your specific layout. Since your line is horizontal, is stuff above or below it affected like stuff to the left of m...

Re: Categories: Non-selection actions & on-disk metadata
I tried to reproduce this but when I view a file and its properties in Explorer after applying a category to it said category does not show in its metadata. Not sure if I'm doing something wrong. It does seem to me, though, that in order to do what you're asking, XnView would have to keep track of a...

Reproduced in windowed mode, but not fullscreen. For me, in fullscreen, it just stops at the edge of the screen.

Re: 0.79: Line across top of GUI
Quick update: I thought maybe whether the tabs on the left of the folder tree were broken or not may have to do with whether a file was selected or not when this happened, but it turns out it doesn't. I just had it happen three times with no file selected, and the first time the tabs were broken whi...

Re: 0.79: Line across top of GUI
I've been playing around with this and have reproduced something similar a few times, but cannot yet figure out how to do so reliably. I've switched back and forth between various layouts, in fullscreen, normal (windowed) mode, and switching back and forth. One time it happened was when I switched t...

Re: 0.79: Line across top of GUI
So you've tried minimizing, covering with another window, etc?
What do you mean by "moving things around inside the browser GUI?" As in moving files around, or moving the various areas around (i.e. 'Preview,' 'Categories,' etc)?
Remember, the more info you can provide the more help others can offer.
