Re: 0.84: Folder tree: Copy & Paste using keyboard doesn't w

That was my thought, but was in a hurry earlier. Maybe a popup if they try to perform the actions when they're disabled?

Re: 0.84: Folder tree: Copy & Paste using keyboard doesn't w

If deactivated by default, I can pretty much guarantee people will think it's broken.

Re: 0.79: Line across top of GUI

I suspect the different location of the line has to do with the layouts we're using. As I said earlier, if you can attach your .ini file, it would allow me to try playing with it with your specific layout. Since your line is horizontal, is stuff above or below it affected like stuff to the left of m...

Re: Categories: Non-selection actions & on-disk metadata

I tried to reproduce this but when I view a file and its properties in Explorer after applying a category to it said category does not show in its metadata. Not sure if I'm doing something wrong. It does seem to me, though, that in order to do what you're asking, XnView would have to keep track of a...

Reproduced in windowed mode, but not fullscreen. For me, in fullscreen, it just stops at the edge of the screen.

Re: 0.79: Line across top of GUI

Quick update: I thought maybe whether the tabs on the left of the folder tree were broken or not may have to do with whether a file was selected or not when this happened, but it turns out it doesn't. I just had it happen three times with no file selected, and the first time the tabs were broken whi...

Re: 0.79: Line across top of GUI

I've been playing around with this and have reproduced something similar a few times, but cannot yet figure out how to do so reliably. I've switched back and forth between various layouts, in fullscreen, normal (windowed) mode, and switching back and forth. One time it happened was when I switched t...

Re: 0.79: Line across top of GUI

So you've tried minimizing, covering with another window, etc?

What do you mean by "moving things around inside the browser GUI?" As in moving files around, or moving the various areas around (i.e. 'Preview,' 'Categories,' etc)?

Remember, the more info you can provide the more help others can offer.

Re: 0.84: Network folders don't update in tree when changed

Perhaps it's due to the uniqueness of my situation. The "network" drive I was browsing is my data drive which has my pictures on it. So it's the same drive/directory, just direct access vs access via a network share. And I forgot to edit my step 2, but I actually found in my testing that the same th...

0.84: Dropping file on tab bar - 'Copy' tooltip misleading

XnView: MP 0.84 x64 OS: Windows 7 - 64 bit When dragging a file onto XnViewer and hovering the mouse over the tab bar, the tooltip reads 'Copy' despite the fact the action if dropped there is to open the file in a tab Effect: Causes confusion about what the action will do (I almost submitted a featu...

0.84: Network folders don't auto-update in tree when changed

XnView: MP 0.84 x64 OS: Windows 7 - 64 bit Network folders don't update in tree when changed elsewhere (but they do update in right pane) Effect: Network folder tree may not accurately represent actual state of directory structure, which could easily cause problems, especially if multiple people are...

XnView: MP 0.84 x64 OS: Windows 7 - 64 bit When switching themes, all themes but default take effect immediately, but switching to default requires a restart of the program to take effect. Effect: Requires restart to switch (back) to default theme, making switching themes somewhat of a pain To repro...

Re: 0.84: JPEG lossless cropping is completely off

Reproduced. And no backup file in the directory containing the image or in the program directory. Also, I see undo is an option here, which is confusing both because we've discussed it before and it was said it was too difficult to implement and because it doesn't do anything. This is extremely dang...

Re: 0.84: Opening folder in Fullscreen

Reproduced and agree. It could be argued that it can be safely assumed in this scenario that the user wants to view the contents of the folder in fullscreen, so it should load them, displaying the first compatible file in the folder. However, as it is, it loads the contents of the folder you're in (...

Re: 0.83: Behaviour of "Single view for multi-opened files"

Posting primarily to "bookmark" this thread, as it relates to others I'm participating in, but I've been bothered by this behavior as well. It seems that if using the Ctrl key breaks it and therefore precludes this option from applying to the use of this shortcut, that should be indicated next to th...
