Re: 0.84: Duplicating tabs with subset of items in folder
I've tried to reproduce your problem, vertigo, and for some reason I don't know (yet) XnView behaves differently for me. And to be honest I'm not sure what the expected behaviour should be.
- After performing your steps 1-3 using "Ctrl+O" key:

Re: Deleting files in fullscreen mode deleted all folders!
Ah, so it's deleting all the files in the folder, after which you can delete the folder. Still doesn't explain how hic would have deleted the parent folder, though, and all the sibling(?) folders. But I would think that if you delete all files in a folder while in fullscreen, it should exit ...

Set current sort order as custom sort order
If a folder has items that aren't sorted alphabetically (or in any other fashion desired by the user), currently there are three options:
- Sort it automatically the way they want but be forced to change the sort method from 'Custom' which will cause other folders that are custom sorted to be out ...

Re: ** English - English
I'm a little late to the party on this one, but here's my thoughts on a few of the discussed options:
Yes, “Allow only one instance of XnView ” seems to be the best option for an application that consists of a browser and a viewer ... O.k., let's use this (unless someone contradicts).

Re: Categories: Select & deselect children
Not saying the 'child' usage is unknown or unused, but basic users may not know it. Anybody messing with Active Directory settings is likely not a basic user. Just trying to avoid confusion. Think of it this way: your doctor may know lots of medical and scientific terms, as do many other people, but ...

I discovered some more info about this issue. Not sure if it would be helpful or not, but I'll post it just in case.
This happens with the second AND third 'Show' items. Also, it happens if you add them, hit OK, then go back into the settings and remove them. They come back when closing and ...

Rename 'Image data' in right-click context menu
'Image data' in the right-click context for a file in the browser should be renamed to 'Copy image data to clipboard' or something similar to better describe its function.

Re: Categories: Select & deselect children
I figured I'd throw 'Clear' in just to try it out. :)
As for key combinations, I don't see why not. There are many, many different possible combinations, especially for just the keys themselves, so it should be possible to do just about anything with them as long as the user sets them up (which ...

Re: 0.84 UI: Entries missing in context menu
None of those exist in my context menu either. As an aside, selecting 'Image data' in the context menu doesn't seem to do anything. Am I missing something or is that a bug?

Re: Categories: Select & deselect children
I wouldn't call them "children." Normal users might not understand the parent/child context. Maybe Select/Toggle/Clear All Sub-Categories?
Agree with the rest, and good call on the order of Delete/Rename.
