It happen in the browser,
Open XnView in browser mode with pictures and folders=>ctrl+x in a picture=>right clic in any folder, select paste = nothing happens , the picture is not moved.
I'm not sure if this is a bug but in "web page create" there is a template called "compresed (silver)" that seems to not work ok, thumbs in galleries created with this template doesn't link to the original/big picture.
I found the cause of the crash at last :D. The problem wasn't Xnview or Xvid but the mpeg4 decoder of Windvd 6 (MP4VDEC.ax) that is installed and registered as the default mpeg4 decoder for the system.
In case that other people have this problem removing MP4VDEC.ax files from Windvd installation ...
Thanks for reply XnTriq, since I couldn't find loosless progressive=>baseline conversion in Xnview I tried with Irfanfiew (options=>jpg loosless operations=>check optimizing & cleaning options only) and it works perfect, now the pictures play perfectly in my dvd player. I've many pictures that were compressed as "progressive jpeg" but my pioneer dvd player can't play them, only can play baseline jpeg pictures, so I would like to know if it's possible a loosless jpeg conversion from progressive to baseline with xnview.
The error message say "XnView for Windows... has detected a problem and should be terminated", behind the error message you can see the black screen that I was talking about.
Short videos actually crash too but when it's used the controls (play, pause...) and also crash with xvid videos. I sent you the log that windows made after the crash, hope that helps to find out what's happening.

XnView crash when I open (right clic=>open) some video files encoded with divx 4.12 (didn't tested in files encoded with other versions of divx/xvid). I tried it with files with different resolutions: 320x240, 512x384, 640x352 & 480x384, XnView crashed in almost all cases but not with the 480x384 ...
No, I wasn't wrong, the issue wasn't in v1.80.3 I just forgot to delete the ini that left the latest version. Here is how it looks the pic with v1.80.3
